What's Going to happen in Class?

This Is for You:

  • If you're writing a non-fiction book or are thinking of writing one.
  • If you have no author platform and don't know how to build one.
  • If you've looked at book proposal templates online, but you just need someone to walk you through all the parts.
  • If you have questions for a literary agent.
  • If you have no idea if you even need a literary agent or how a person gets one, or what questions you should ask them in the first place.

What Will We dISCUSS?

  • Platform: How to build an audience, increase your reach, and create a platform (no, you don't have to use social media).
  • Proposal: How to structure and craft a compelling non-fiction proposal. After the class, you will receive the proposal template Tess uses with her clients.
  • Pitch: How to find the right agent to query, what to do / not do, and how to help the right agent find you.

At the end of the class, we'll have about 15 minutes of Q&A, so be sure to submit your questions ahead of time to [email protected]

This Isn't a Good fit, if:

  • You're not interested in writing a book. I mean, obv.
  • You write fiction. Some basics will apply, but this class is focused on non-fiction proposals.
  • If you're already sure you want to self-publish your book.
